The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (L3 AET) is designed for individuals who want to start a career in education and training. This AET qualification is an industry-standard and was formerly known as the Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS course). The L3 AET provides you with the knowledge of the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. It provides understanding and implementation of inclusive teaching and learning, facilitation of individual and group learners and knowledge of assessment and its implementation in education and training. Most training centres would expect that you have a Level 3 Education and Training course before you start teaching in the FE and HE sectors. Moreover, you are not required to have any prior qualifications or experience to start this Level 3 teaching qualification; you just have a passion for teaching and training. Our Level 3 Award in Education and Training online course will assist you regardless of your subject expertise – whether you teach music or coach people. This Level 3 AET qualification is regulated by Ofqual (UK) and delivered 100% online, with dedicated tutor support provided throughout your learning journey.
This qualification is suitable for those with little or no teaching experience, enabling them to progress into teaching or training roles. This qualification is ideal for individuals who wish to teach in further education, adult education, or vocational training settings. This Level 3 Award in Education and Training (L3 AET) is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you. This qualification can take as little as 5 days or up to 4 months, depending on your previous experience and your dedication to the course. This Level 3 AET course is delivered through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), whereby you are provided online tutor support to complete your course successfully.
All units within this Level 3 Education & Training qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. Learners will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence consisting of three written assignments along with the evidence of the one-hour micro-teaching session, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor once you start the course.
