You should meet either of the two following minimum eligibility criteria:
• Possess a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 diploma or equivalent recognised qualification (for learners aged 18+).
• Have relevant management experience (for mature learners – over 21 years)
In both cases, you must have a satisfactory level of Literacy and Numeracy skills.
There is no practical requirement for this qualification.
You will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence you submit containing six written assignments (one for each unit). A few tasks would be attempted through essay style written accounts, while remaining tasks would require submission of relevant work such as review reports, guidance documents, lesson plans, curriculum plan and resources, action plans, research project, etc.

This course is for those who are working or wish to undertake a job as a teacher or a trainer in state schools in the UK. It is also a great choice for those who wish to develop themselves as a leader in an educational setting and prepare themselves for such roles as head of departments, academic dean, headteacher, etc.
The qualifications at RQF Level 6 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Bachelor’s Degrees with Honours, Bachelor’s Degrees, Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Graduate Diplomas and Graduate Certificates.
There is no specific time frame to complete the course. Most learners complete it in as less as 2 months (fast track) or up to 1 year (full time).
